International transport conference slated for November
The first international transport
conference and Exhibition for the Middle East, JOTRANS,
will be held November 23-24 at the King Hussein Ben Talal Convention Centre.
Local and regional ministers, CEOs, investors,
financial consultants, municipal and
regional government authorities and industry operators are attending the event, held under the patronage of his Majesty King
Abdullah, according to a statement
released by the organizers. Participants include transportation operators and
providers as well as consultants,
urban and government planners, civic
leaders, suppliers and
transportation-related products and service.
JOTRANS will address various issues
related to the transport sector and discuss future trends and investment
projects in this industry, taking
into consideration other critical topic focusing on transport strategies in the
middle east, future outlooks, current polices,
investment opportunities, road
safety and traffic congestion, civil
aviation sector reform, public
transport networks, railway project
plans, maritime transport, in addition to the performance of the transport
sector in the Arab World vis-à-vis international best practices. Participants
will also highlight the role of the private sector in developing the
infrastructure of transport networks,
the statement said.
