The Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission was established on August, 1st, 2007, in accordance with the Civil Aviation Law no. (41) Of 2007. The Commission work is limited to the organizational aspects but the operational aspects are conducted by the Jordanian Airports Company.   


 The Most Important Achievements in the Year 2010 


During the last year, the corporation executed a lot of projects and activities. That assisted in the growth of the Civil Aviation Sector and air transport which will make Jordan a regional center for civil aviation and air transport and reflected positively on the growth of air mbility rates and the level of the rendered services, such as:   

1.Holding dual meeting for updating ten agreements on air services between Jordan and other countries to reach a total number of ninety two dual agreements concerning air services including twenty eight open air agreements for keeping up with Air Transport National Strategy by adopting open air policy and signing the comprehensive agreement with the European Union on 15/12/2010 to free the direct air transport.

 

 

2.Working on completing the program of separating the organizer through  completing the separation of the job (operational) missions of the air navigation services from the organizational tasks for meeting the requirements and recommendation of the International Civil Aviation Orqanization (ICAO).

 

 

3.Issuing 5 regulations on Civil Aviation to have a total number of 56 regulations and conducting several modificationson these regulations for keeping up with the international developments and the compatibility of Jordanian  Civil Aviation Regulations with the Europeon Aviation Safety Agency.

 

4.Preparing the draft of the consumer protection regulations.

 

5.Continous control and organizing various aviation sectors: air companies, academies, maintainence schools, aviation training centers,aviation clubs and factories. By opening the gate of aviation companies licensies since the year 2006, the number of the licensed Jordanian aviation companies  reached 11 aviation companies, regular and irregualr.    

 

6.Licensing a maintenance station  to have a total of nine maintenance stations.

 

7.Going on adopting the principle of quality assurance for reaching the highest distinguished level of accuracy in applying the international standards for quality assurance administration and adherence to regulations.

 

8.Developing and updating the corporation external website. Work is going on now for erecting an international website.

 

9.Offering a proposal for starting to prepare studies of erecting an information bank for the sector of civil aviation and air transport.

 

10.Developing programs to control noise levels and planes emissions in coordination with airports operators and the related state bodies.

 

11.Going on developing and updating air navigation services regulations for boosting the competition  level in Jordan conserning the air navigation services.

 

12.Applying the air control system to cover the sky of Jordan on all levels , using this system as a back up system for the radar system to reduce the accidents' ratio and the ratio of the plane approach time.

 

13.Joining the European Aviation Information Bank.   

 

14.Adopting the approved air navigation concept application guide on PBN performance. 

 

15.Obtaining the certificate of international quality administarion for aviation information services.  

 

16.Completing the procedures of licensing King Hussein International Airport /Aqaba.

 

17.Growing and developing the auto capabilities of the workers for the civil Aviation Organization Corporation, promoting  and sustaining the specified knowledge through the training of 160 employees shared in 120 courses and specialized workshop.
